Brevard County sits on Florida’s Space Coast. Titusville is the county seat, and many county offices operate in Viera. The county’s economy is built around aerospace. Launch and space companies, defense contractors, and Patrick Space Force Base drive a large manufacturing and communications workforce.
Port Canaveral supports cruise, cargo, and hundreds of small businesses. The new Space Coast Innovation Park in Titusville is adding aerospace manufacturing space. Tourism, healthcare, and retail are also important. Businesses here often hold specialized machinery and equipment, commercial property along the I-95 and US 1 corridors, and receivables from contracts and services.
Seminole County sits just north of Orlando. Sanford is the county seat and largest city. Other cities include Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, and Winter Springs. Lake Mary is a hub for corporate offices and professional services.
Healthcare, professional services, finance, and retail make up much of the business base. Orlando Sanford International Airport supports aviation and trade activity and is tied to a foreign trade zone. Many local businesses are service firms. Their main assets tend to be receivables and office or retail property along I-4 and US 17-92, rather than heavy equipment.
The circuit’s official site is the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. Appeals go to the Fifth District Court of Appeal.
